The Jinbei TR-612 Wireless Remote Control is a TTL and HSS capable remote control for the Jinbei HD-610 HSS Battery Flash and compatible Nikon DSLR cameras. The list of compatible D models (currently D800, D600, D7200 and D90) is expanding Jinbei continuously. Using the latest firmware, the remote control can be adapted to other Nikon DSLR cameras via its USB port. In manual mode, wireless remote control works with all modern Nikon DSLRs.
Nikon's FP short-sync for fast shutter speeds
The FP short-time sync allows you to use shorter shutter speeds than your Nikon DSLR flash sync times. Depending on the camera model, this takes up to 1/8000 seconds. This allows you to freeze fast movements, flash against the sun, and use more open screens for portrait shooting outdoors.
TTL control ensures comfortable working
The TTL function allows you to use an automatic flash exposure metering and control. Camera and HD-610 HSS battery flashes exchange all the information required for precise and constant flash exposure and automatically adjust the required settings. This is particularly advantageous in the case of outdoor flashshootings with changing light conditions, which require constant manual correction of the flash power on the device without TTL.
If desired, manual flash exposure correction can be performed in the TTL mode in the range of ± 5 EV in 1/3 aperture increments. In manual mode, adjust the flash power from 1/1 to 1/128 in 1/3 aperture increments. With its range of up to 300 meters you can work with the TR-612 comfortably from a greater distance to the set.
Group control, master / slave mode, and flash ratio setting
The LCD display is the control center of the TR-612 flash-trigger and displays all the functions such as the selected group (A / B / C) and the set channel (16 + auto channel). For the individual groups you define the operating mode (TTL or M), switch the modeling light on or off and determine whether the flashes work as master or slave.
With the control of the power ratio (1: 8 to 8: 1) of the individual flash groups to each other (A: B or A: BC), you have many creative variants for illuminating your subject. If the ratio control is set to A: BC, a flash exposure correction range of ± 3 EV is available in 1/3 aperture increments.
